The Arizona Department of Transportation will host a public meeting Feb. 12 for the State Route 30 project between Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) and 97th Avenue in the Southwest Valley. This is the first SR 30 project scheduled under the Maricopa Association of Governments’ regional freeway plan for the Phoenix area. Construction is scheduled to break ground in summer 2027. The project team will share design plans for this 4.5-mile section of SR 30, answer questions and receive public comments.

As part of the MAG regional plan, SR 30 is a new freeway corridor planned to eventually extend between State Route 85 in Buckeye and Interstate 17 south of downtown Phoenix. It will serve as an I-10 reliever route to help manage traffic congestion in the West Valley.

The public meeting will be held:

  • Thursday, Feb. 12, at 5:30 p.m.
  • Western Valley Middle School Cafeteria, 6250 W. Durango St., Phoenix

Meeting Agenda

  • 5:30 p.m. – Open house
  • 6 p.m. – Presentation
  • 6:30 p.m. – Q&A session

The presentation will be available in English and Spanish.
