The Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking public input on an engineering and environmental study for the North-South Corridor (State Route 505) from Arizona Farms Road to Interstate 10, known as the North-South Segment 2 Study. The Segment 2 study spans approximately 31 miles and extends from I-10 near Eloy to Florence.
Study outreach materials, including the public meeting presentation, display boards and fact sheet, can be viewed on the study website.

The purpose of the project is to improve the transportation network to accommodate existing and future populations, improve access and regional mobility, provide an alternative to I-10, improve north-to-south connectivity and integrate the region’s transportation network.
 The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ADOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated 06/25/2024 and executed by FHWA and ADOT.
