Expect daily full closures of SR 377 between Holbrook and Heber-Overgaard as pavement project begins Monday, Aug. 4

Drivers will need to use SR 77, SR 277 as detour

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for daily full closures of State Route 377 between the junction with State Route 77 and milepost 13, which is about 18 miles north of Heber-Overgaard, as a new pavement rehabilitation project starts on Monday, Aug. 4.

Drivers should expect the following daytime restrictions from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays:

  • SR 377 will be closed in both directions between milepost 13 and State Route 77.
  • Drivers will need to detour along State Routes 77 and 277.
  • Local traffic and emergency vehicles will be allowed to access the project area on SR 377. A flagging operation will direct local drivers through the work zone.
  • Restrictions will be lifted each day after 6 p.m. and on weekends.

These restrictions will be in place for the next several weeks. The project is anticipated to be completed by the fall.
