Loop 101 high-occupancy (HOV) lanes have reopened in north Scottsdale

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that the north- and southbound Loop 101 high-occupancy (HOV) lanes between Thunderbird Road and Princess Drive/Pima Road have reopened. The HOV lanes were closed since May 2 for median work as part of the current Loop 101 widening project in north Scottsdale.

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 mph in work zones for the safety of drivers and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

The Loop 101 Improvement Project between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Shea Boulevard is adding one general-use lane in each direction and providing other improvements along Loop 101 and at interchanges within the project’s boundaries.
