Southbound Loop 101 to be closed in North Scottsdale next weekend (April 11-13)

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to be narrowed to one lane nightly April 7-11

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions as part of the current Loop 101 widening project.

LOOP 101 CLOSURE

  • Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday, April 11 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, for freeway widening. The southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Scottsdale and Hayden roads also will be closed.
    • DETOUR: Drivers can consider using southbound Scottsdale Road to eastbound Shea Boulevard to access southbound Loop 101 beyond the closure.

FRANK LLOYD WRITE BOULEVARD LANE RESTRICTIONS

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at Loop 101 nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday, April 7 and ending the morning of Friday, April 11, for bridgework.

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 mph in work zones for the safety of drivers and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

The Loop 101, Princess Dr/Pima Rd to Shea Blvd Improvements project is adding an additional general-use lane in each direction and making improvements to Loop 101 and interchanges between Princess Dr/Pima Rd and Shea Blvd.
