I-17 lane restrictions and ramp closures planned between Happy Valley Road and SR 74 this weekend (March 7-9)

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following north- and southbound I-17 lane restrictions and ramp closures for final striping work on the I-17 Happy Valley Road to State Route 74 Pavement Project.

March 7-9

  • Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes between Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive and Happy Valley Road from 9 p.m. Friday, March 7, to 8 a.m. Sunday, March 9. The following ramps will be closed during this work:
    • The southbound I-17 on- and off-ramps at Jomax Road
    • The southbound I-17 on-ramps at Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive and Dixileta Drive
  • Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes between Dove Valley Road and SR 74/Carefree Highway from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 8. The northbound I-17 frontage road between Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive and SR 74/Carefree Highway and the following ramps will be closed during this work:
    • The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Dove Valley Road and Loop 303
    • The northbound I-17 off-ramps at SR 74/Carefree Highway
I-17 March 7-10

 

Weeknight Closures and Restrictions (March 5-6)

  • Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between Dove Valley Road and Loop 303 from 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, to 5 a.m. Thursday, March 6. The following ramps will be closed during this work:
    • The northbound I-17 on-ramp at Dove Valley Road
    • The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive
  • Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between Dixileta Drive and Happy Valley Road from 9 p.m. Thursday, March 6, to 5 a.m. Friday, March 7.

Drivers should use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through any work zones.
