Expect daytime lane restrictions along US 89A near Marble Canyon Feb. 20 through April 10

Plan for delays, allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for daytime lane restrictions on US 89A near Marble Canyon north of Bitter Springs.

The following lane restrictions will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays beginning Thursday, Feb. 20, through Thursday, April 10 (weather permitting):

• Alternating north- and southbound lane restrictions between mileposts 540-555.
• Onsite flaggers will guide drivers through the work zones. 
• Drivers should be prepared for slowing or stopped traffic when approaching and driving through the work zones.
• The speed limit will be reduced in work zones.
• Restrictions will be lifted after work hours.

The restrictions are needed so crews can safely complete planned maintenance work along this section of US 89A.
