The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers to plan for the following weekend closure as work continues on the Loop 101, 75th Avenue to I-17 widening project:
- 51st Avenue will be closed at the Loop 101 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25.

Detour: Drivers may consider using the Loop 101 frontage roads (Beardsley Road) to 35th or 59th avenues.
Note: The Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at 51st Avenue will be open during this closure.
ONGOING LANE RESTRICTIONS
Lane restrictions are ongoing at the following locations for bridge work:
- At the 51st and 35th avenue interchanges
- All on- and off-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
- The left lane turn for both east- and westbound on-ramps will be narrowed to one lane
- 51st and 35th avenues will be narrowed to one lane under Loop 101
- At the 31st Avenue interchange
- The 31st Avenue shoulders will be closed under Loop 101. Pedestrian access is still available.
- The east- and westbound frontage roads (Beardsley Road) will be narrowed to one lane between 31st and 51st avenues.

ADOT advises drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time while work is taking place.
The project is scheduled under the Maricopa Association of Government's (MAG) Regional Freeway Plan and is funded through Prop 400, a countywide half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements approved by voters in 2004.
