State Route 87 lane restrictions planned Nov. 17 for Ironman race

McKellips Road closures also planned

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) and McKellips Road restrictions and closures from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, for the 2024 Ironman Arizona race:

• North- and southbound SR 87 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between McDowell Road and Shea Boulevard.
• McKellips Road will be CLOSED between Loop 202 and Alma School Road and narrowed to one lane between 92nd Street and Loop 101 (Pima Freeway).

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
