Plan for eastbound I-40 off-ramp closure in Ash Fork Nov.12 - Nov. 15 for bridge repair

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for an upcoming four-day closure of the eastbound Interstate 40 off-ramp to southbound State Route 89 (exit 146) in Ash Fork.

The around-the-clock ramp closure is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.12, and reopen at noon on Friday, Nov. 15.

  • DETOUR TO southbound SR 89: Drivers should take the eastbound I-40 (exit 144) and proceed on Park Avenue through Ash Fork.
  • Detour signs will be in place to guide drivers through the construction zone.
  • I-40 mainline will not be impacted and will remain open during construction.
  • Vehicle width restriction is 16 feet.

The closure is needed so crews can make repairs to the bridge.
