Northbound I-17 closures planned between Dunlap and Peoria avenues this weekend (Nov. 8-11)

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following Interstate 17 closures for Valley Metro maintenance work: 

• Northbound I-17 will be closed between Dunlap and Peoria avenues from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, to 1 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11. The following ramps also will be closed:
  • The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Bethany Home Road and Glendale and Northern avenues

DETOUR: Drivers may consider alternate routes, including using the northbound frontage road or 35th or 19th avenues. Northbound I-17 drivers may also consider exiting ahead of the closure at Camelback Road and using the Peoria Avenue on-ramp to reconnect with the freeway.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
