Arizona Avenue at Loop 202 to be restricted Oct. 28-Nov. 2

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time while the following closure is in place for the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway), Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive widening project:

Nightly Closures/Restrictions

• Northbound Arizona Avenue will be restricted to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m Monday, Oct. 28 to the morning of Saturday, Nov. 2.
• NOTE: There will be no scheduled closures on election day, Nov. 5. 

These closures and restrictions will allow crews to install bridge support columns.

ADOT urges drivers to plan ahead for detours and travel delays; slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place. 

The Loop 202 (Santan Freeway), Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive widening project will require additional overnight and weekend closures and restrictions in the coming months. For more information, please visit the project webpage at: azdot.gov/L202-L101-to-ValVista
