Princess Drive/Pima Road and Loop 101 frontage road in North Scottsdale to be closed Oct. 27- Nov. 8

Westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard also narrowed to one lane nightly, Nov. 4-8. 

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions in north Scottsdale as part of the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway), Princess Drive/Pima Road to Shea Boulevard Improvements.

Southbound Pima Road/westbound Princess Drive will be closed and eastbound Princess Drive will be narrowed to one lane at Loop 101 at the following times for bridge work:

• 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
• Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Nov. 3, until the morning of Friday, Nov. 8.
  • DETOUR: Drivers may consider using northbound Loop 101 to southbound Hayden Road to access Princess Drive west of the closure.

The southbound Loop 101 frontage road will be closed nightly between Bell Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 27, until the morning of Friday, Nov. 1, for ramp reconstruction work. NOTE: The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp will remain open during this closure. 

• EASTBOUND DETOUR: Drivers may consider using eastbound Bell Road to southbound Thompson Peak Parkway to westbound Raintree Drive to access the southbound Loop 101 frontage road beyond the closure.
• WESTBOUND DETOUR: Drivers may consider using westbound Bell Road to southbound Hayden Road to eastbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to access the southbound Loop 101 frontage road beyond the closure.

East- and westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard at Loop 101 and the north- and southbound Loop 101 frontage roads at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 27, until the morning of Friday, Nov. 1, for bridge work.

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 mph in work zones for the safety of drivers and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

This work is part of the Loop 101, Princess Dr/Pima Rd to Shea Blvd Improvements project that is adding an additional general-use lane in each direction and making improvements to Loop 101 interchanges between Princess Dr/Pima Rd and Shea Blvd.
