Overnight US 60 (Grand Avenue) closures and lane restrictions planned Oct. 24 near Glendale

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following areas of eastbound US 60 (Grand Avenue) to be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, for Arizona Public Service (APS) powerline work:

• Eastbound US 60 will be narrowed to one lane between Orangewood and Myrtle avenues and CLOSED near Myrtle Avenue.
  • DETOUR: Eastbound drivers may consider exiting at Northern Avenue and taking southbound 67th Avenue to Glendale Avenue to reconnect with US 60.

• The right turn lane from westbound Myrtle Avenue to westbound US 60 will be CLOSED.
  • DETOUR: Drivers may consider traveling north on 59th Avenue and using westbound Orangewood Avenue to access westbound US 60.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching work zones where APS maintenance work is taking place.
