Plan for alternating lane restrictions on SR 195 (Araby Road) in Yuma Oct. 21-24

Drivers should expect heavy delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for alternating lane restrictions on State Route 195 (Araby Road) in Yuma, for pavement preservation work.

The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m  Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 24:

  • North- and southbound SR 195 (Araby Road) will be reduced to one lane between the Araby Road roundabout and 32nd Street.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

Delays are likely, so travelers should allow extra travel time, obey speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
