ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Phoenix Area)
October 18-21, 2024

Weekend Travel Advisory

Hello from ADOT. You can, and really should, click on the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information about these and other closures or restrictions for improvement projects taking place along Phoenix-area freeways (Oct. 18-21):

  • Westbound I-10 closed between US 60 (Superstition Freeway) and the I-17 "Split" interchange near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Oct. 21) for continuing work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.
  • I-17 is scheduled to be closed in opposite directions at separate times this weekend in areas between Peoria Avenue and the I-10 "Split" interchange near Sky Harbor Airport for pavement sealing. It will be southbound starting Friday night and northbound starting Saturday night. The map has more information. Crews will focus on reopening I-17 in sections as their work progresses each day.
  • Separate stretches of Loop 101 are scheduled for closures this weekend. Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) will be closed at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard in Scottsdale while eastbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) will be closed between 51st and 19th avenues in the northwest Valley. Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information.
  • Oh, and stretches of I-17 between Happy Valley Road and State Route 74 will be narrowed to one lane during mostly overnight hours this weekend. Yes, that's on the map as well. Thanks for your patience and please drive safely.
