Loop 101/State Route 51 ramp closures scheduled overnight Oct. 16

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following ramp closures from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, for maintenance work:

• The east- and westbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) ramps to southbound State Route 51 will be closed.
• The southbound SR 51 on-ramp at Black Mountain Boulevard will be closed.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking southbound Cave Creek Road or Tatum Boulevard and using Union Hills Drive to access southbound SR 51.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
