UPDATE: Lindsay Road closed at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) this weekend (Oct. 4-7)

This advisory adds lane restrictions on Arizona Avenue and Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Oct. 4-7

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time while the following closure is in place for the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway), Loop 101 to Val Vista Drive widening project:

Weekend Closure (Oct. 4-7)

• Lindsay Road will be closed in both directions at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for bridge work. The Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) on- and off-ramps at Lindsay Road will remain open.
• NORTHBOUND LINDSAY ROAD DETOUR: Motorists traveling north on Lindsay Road may consider taking eastbound Germann Road to northbound Val Vista Drive to westbound Pecos Road, or westbound Germann Road to northbound Gilbert Road to eastbound Pecos Road to access Lindsay Road north of the closure. 
• SOUTHBOUND LINDSAY ROAD DETOUR: Motorists traveling south on Lindsay Road may consider taking eastbound Pecos Road to southbound Val Vista Drive to westbound Germann Road, or westbound Pecos Road to southbound Gilbert Road to eastbound Germann Road to access Lindsay Road south of the closure.
• (NEW) Northbound Arizona Avenue will be restricted to two lanes and southbound will be restricted to one lane from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for bridge work. 
• (NEW) East- and westbound Loop 202 will be restricted to two lanes between the Lindsay Road on-and off-ramps from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7. 

Weeknight closures (Sept. 30-Oct. 5)

• Northbound Arizona Avenue will be CLOSED at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, ending the morning of Saturday, Oct. 5.  NOTE: The Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) on- and off-ramps at Arizona Avenue (SR 87) will remain open.
• Rolling lane closures will be implemented on eastbound Loop 202 between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and Williams Field Road 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Tuesday, Oct. 1, until the morning of Thursday, Oct. 3.

Upcoming closures (Oct. 7-9)

• Northbound Lindsay Road will be CLOSED at Loop 202 from 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.
• Southbound Lindsay Road will be CLOSED at Loop 202 from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

ADOT urges drivers to plan ahead for detours and travel delays; slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
