The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for both daytime and evening lane restrictions on north- and southbound US 93 in Wickenburg from Friday morning, Oct. 4, to Sunday evening, Nov 10.
Starting Friday, Oct. 4, to Thursday, Oct. 17, drivers should plan for the following daytime restrictions between 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with evening restrictions starting Friday, Oct. 18, to Sunday evening, Nov 10, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.:
- Alternating north- and southbound US 93 will be reduced to one lane along US 93 between Tegner Street and Wickenburg Ranch Way (mileposts 194 - 199).
- Drivers may experience periodic delays during daytime work, and upwards of 15 minute delays during evening work.
- The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone to 35 mph.
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- Flaggers will be present to safely guide drivers through the work zone.
- Drivers are encouraged to move slowly in the work zone and beware of surroundings while construction is in place.
These restrictions are needed for pavement resurfacing and final pavement construction.
The work is part of ADOT’s long-term vision to transform the entire 200-mile section of US 93 from Wickenburg to the Hoover Dam bypass into a modern four-lane divided highway.
