Southbound 143 and westbound collector-distributor (CD) road also closed this weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers that eastbound Interstate 10 will be closed between US 60 and Ray Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for paving, pavement marking and sign work. At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:
- The westbound US 60 ramp to eastbound I-10.
- The HOV ramps connecting I-10 and US 60.
In addition, the following ramps will also be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7:
- The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at Broadway, Baseline, Elliot and Warner roads.
- The eastbound US 60 on- and off-ramps at Mill Avenue.
Detour: Use eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) or US 60 to southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to access eastbound I-10 beyond the closure.
West Valley drivers can bypass the closure by using Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway). From I-10 and 59th Avenue, travel south and east to connect with I-10 south of Chandler Boulevard.

Southbound State Route 143 closed between Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and I-10
Southbound 48th Street scheduled to reopen on Oct. 7
Southbound SR 143 will be closed between Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and I-10 from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for a traffic shift. At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:
- The ramps from Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound SR 143.
- The I-10 ramps to northbound SR 143.
In addition, the following ramps will also be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7:
- The southbound SR 143 on-ramps at Washington Street, Sky Harbor Boulevard and University Drive.
- The westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) off-ramp at Sky Harbor Boulevard.
Westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) Detour: Use westbound Loop 202 to eastbound I-10 to access destinations south of the closure.
Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) Detour: Use eastbound Loop 202 to southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) to access destinations south of the closure.
Airport access: Use southbound 44th Street from Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) or 24th Street or Buckeye Road.
When southbound SR 143 reopens, southbound 48th Street will reopen as well. The eastbound I-10 off-ramp at 48th Street will remain closed until later this year. Use the eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Broadway Road instead.

Westbound Collector-Distributor (CD) road closure
The westbound I-10 Collector-Distributor (CD) road will be closed between US 60 and 40th Street from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, to 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, for a traffic shift. At the same time, the westbound I-10 CD road off-ramps at Broadway Road and 40th Street will be closed. Use the westbound I-10 off-ramp at 32nd Street instead. Three lanes of mainline westbound I-10 will remain open.
