Expect nighttime lane restrictions on I-17 near SR 169 Sept. 29-30 for pavement work

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for nighttime lane restrictions on southbound I-17 near State Route 169 from Sunday night, Sept. 29, to Monday morning, Sept. 30.

Drivers should plan for the following restrictions between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.: 

• Southbound I-17 will be reduced to one lane near SR 169 (mileposts 277-280).
• The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone to 55 mph. 
• A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

These restrictions are needed for pavement resurfacing.
