Southbound State Route 51 to close between Loop 101 and I-10 this weekend (Sept. 27-28)

Drivers traveling on State Route 51 should plan to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes this weekend while the following closure is in place for pavement maintenance: 

• Southbound SR 51 will be CLOSED between Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) and Interstate 10/Loop 202 (the “Mini Stack” interchange) from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking westbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) to southbound Interstate 17 to eastbound I-10 as an alternate route.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
