Southbound SR 51 scheduled to close next weekend (Sept. 27-28)

Drivers traveling on State Route 51 should allow extra travel time and plan to use alternate routes this weekend while the following closure is in place for pavement maintenance:
- Northbound SR 51 will be CLOSED between Interstate 10/Loop 202 (the “Mini Stack” interchange) and Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking westbound I-10 to northbound Interstate 17 to eastbound Loop 101 as an alternate route.
UPCOMING CLOSURE (Sept. 27-28):
- Southbound SR 51 will be CLOSED between Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) and I-10/Loop 202 (the “Mini Stack” interchange) from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.
ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
