Nightly I-17 ramp closures continue at Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive June 26 - July 1

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time while the following ramp closures are in place for the I-17 Happy Valley Road to SR 74 Pavement Project.

June 26-27

• The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive will be closed NIGHTLY from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, and Thursday, June 27 
• DETOUR: Drivers can consider exiting at Dove Valley Road and turning to enter I-17 southbound to access Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive.

June 28-30

• The southbound I-17 on-ramp at Loop 303/Sonoran Desert Drive will be closed NIGHTLY from:
  • 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29
  • 9 p.m. Sunday, June 30, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 1
  • DETOUR: Loop 303 drivers can consider exiting at 43rd Avenue and traveling north to enter I-17 at Dove Valley Road. Sonoran Desert Drive traffic can consider using the northbound I-17 frontage road to enter I-17 at Dove Valley Road.

Upcoming Restrictions/Closures (July 12-15) 

• Southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane between Loop 303 and Jomax Road and then CLOSED at Jomax Road from 9 p.m. Friday, July 12, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 15.
• DETOUR: Drivers will exit southbound I-17 at Jomax Road and reenter southbound I-17 using the Jomax Road on-ramp. 

Please note, there will be no planned closure of I-17 for this project over the July 4th weekend.
