Expect a southbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) closure May 17-20

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closure on Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) over the Salt River Bridge in Phoenix/Laveen for bridge maintenance:

• Southbound Loop 202 will be closed between Broadway Road and Southern Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday, May 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 20. The following on-ramp also will be closed:
• The southbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Lower Buckeye Road 

DETOUR: Drivers can use eastbound Broadway Road to southbound 51st Avenue then westbound Southern Avenue to regain access to Loop 202.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and equipment in all work zones.
