Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for alternating lane restrictions on State Route 387 near Coolidge between Fawny Lane and Tamarack Way (mileposts 8 and 10) beginning Thursday, May 9, while maintenance crews make pavement repairs.

The following lane restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

  • Eastbound SR 387 will be reduced to one lane between milepost 8 and milepost 9 Thursday, May 9.
  • Westbound SR 387 will be reduced to one lane between milepost 9 and milepost 10 Friday, May 10.
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

Flaggers and a pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone. Drivers should obey posted signs, speed limits and traffic control devices, and use caution around construction personnel.
