REMINDER: US 60 (Grand Avenue) maintenance between Wittmann and Morristown to be completed this weekend

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on US 60 (Grand Avenue) north of Surprise for pavement maintenance:

• US 60 (Grand Avenue) will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Center Street (in Wittmann) and State Route 74 (in Morristown) from 11 p.m. Friday, May 10, to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, and 11 p.m. Saturday, May 11, to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
• NOTE: Temporary closures of cross streets in the area will be needed for work across intersections.
• As a safety measure, the speed limit for the work zone will be 45 mph.
• An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place throughout construction. 

DETOUR: Eastbound drivers and oversized vehicles may take eastbound SR 74 to southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway and use Loop 303 to reconnect with US 60. Westbound drivers may take northbound Center Street to Dove Valley Road to northbound 211th Avenue to SR 74 to reconnect with US 60. 

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
