Eastbound Interstate 10 in Phoenix closed beginning tomorrow night (March 29)

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closure of Interstate 10 in central Phoenix for pavement maintenance:

  • Eastbound I-10 will be closed between Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) and the Interstate 17 “Stack” interchange from 9 p.m. Friday, March 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 1. The following ramps also will be closed:
    • The northbound Loop 202 ramps to eastbound I-10
    • The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 79th, 75th and 67th avenues

DETOUR: Eastbound I-10 drivers may consider exiting ahead of the closure and using Van Buren Street or Buckeye Road south of I-10, or McDowell and Thomas roads north of I-10. Drivers on I-10 also may consider using northbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) to reach I-17 in north Phoenix.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment in all work zones.
