Bell Road and Loop 101 frontage roads to be closed overnight Tues. March 26

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closure of Bell Road in north Scottsdale for pavement striping as part of the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway), Princess Drive/Pima Road to Shea Boulevard Improvements.

• Bell Road between Hayden Road and Thompson Peak Parkway will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 27. The north- and southbound Loop 101 frontage roads will also be closed at Bell Road.
• NOTE: Access to businesses and local streets will be maintained during the closure. 

DETOURS:

• EASTBOUND BELL ROAD: Drivers may consider using northbound Hayden Road to eastbound Princess Drive to eastbound Legacy Boulevard to southbound 94th Street to access Bell Road east of the closure.

• WESTBOUND BELL ROAD: Drivers may consider using northbound 94th Street to westbound Legacy Boulevard to westbound Pima Road to southbound Hayden Road to access Bell Road west of the closure.

• NORTHBOUND LOOP 101 FRONTAGE ROAD: Drivers may consider using the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Bahia Drive to northbound 94th Street to access eastbound Bell Road beyond the closure.
• SOUTHBOUND LOOP 101 FRONTAGE ROAD: Drivers may consider using the westbound Princess Drive to southbound Hayden Road to access westbound Bell Road beyond the closure. 

Please help us promote highway safety. Speed limits are reduced to 55 miles per hour in work zones for the safety of you and workers. Slow down, stay alert and be prepared to merge with caution when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

This work is part of the Loop 101, Princess Dr/Pima Rd to Shea Blvd Improvements project that is adding an additional general-use lane in each direction and making improvements to Loop 101 interchanges between Princess Dr/Pima Rd and Shea Blvd.
