UPDATE: Plan for ramp and lane restrictions on I-10 in Quartzsite through April 5

This advisory updates the end dates of the restrictions

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for ramp closures and  lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Quartzsite while paving work is completed. 

The following ramp closures will occur: 

  • The eastbound I-10 off- and on- ramps at Dome Rock Road will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, March 11. Detour: Eastbound I-10 traffic may use Quartzsite Avenue (Exit 17) to access Dome Rock Road. Dome Rock Road traffic may detour east on Dome Rock to Quartzsite Avenue for I-10 access. 

The following overnight lane restrictions will occur Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m beginning Sunday night, March 10, through Friday morning, April 5: 

  • East- and westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Dome Rock Road and Scaddan Wash (mileposts 11-24). Note: Only one direction of travel will be impacted at a time.

The following lane restrictions will continue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Friday, April 5, for guardrail work:

  • Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between Dome Rock Road and Central Boulevard (mileposts 12-19).
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. 
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.

Drivers should be prepared to make frequent stops when approaching and traveling through the workzone, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel. Drivers should plan for delays.
