UPDATE: Plan for weekend closure of eastbound US 60 at Greenfield Road (Oct. 6-9)

The cross street closures at US 60 have been rescheduled for a later date.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closure on US 60 (Superstition Freeway) in Mesa for bridge work:

  • Eastbound US 60 will be closed at Greenfield Road from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9. The following ramps also will be closed:
    • The eastbound US 60 on-ramps at Val Vista Drive, Gilbert and Stapley roads

Detours: The eastbound US 60 on- and off-ramps at Greenfield Road will remain open. Drivers also can use eastbound Baseline Road, Southern Avenue or Broadway Road to connect with US 60 beyond the closure.

Additional weekend closures of east- and westbound US 60 are planned at Greenfield Road in the coming weekends for bridge work.

UPDATE: The following cross street closures between Baseline Road and Southern Avenue have been rescheduled for a later date:

  • Horne  
  • Harris Drive  
  • 24th Street 
  • Lindsay Road  
  • 32nd Street

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
