UPDATE: Westbound US 60 scheduled to be closed at night in Apache Junction Sept. 21

This advisory updates the date of the closure.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for an overnight closure of westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) at Mountain View Road in Apache Junction, approximately two miles west of Gold Canyon, from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 (updated), for overhead sign maintenance.

DETOUR: Drivers can exit at Mountain View Road, travel north before using westbound Broadway Avenue and southbound Goldfield Road to reconnect with US 60.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution at all times around maintenance personnel and equipment in all work zones.
