RE: REMINDER - IRP/IFTA Migration to AZ MVD Now

As you know, ADOT Motor Vehicle Division is in the process of refreshing and enhancing various online services and IRP/IFTA is next in line. 

Currently, you conduct business through mCarrier which is a third party vendor. One of our goals at MVD is to continuously improve the customer experience, and to that end we are incorporating IRP/IFTA into our online portal, AZMVDNow.gov, enabling us to enhance the customer experience more readily in the future. Once the migration takes place, all IRP/IFTA transactions will be conducted through your AZ MVD Now account, including but not limited to submission of reports, paying your invoices, uploading applications and supporting documents, etc.

These new Motor Carrier services will be active on AZ MVD on August 1, 2023.

Instructions to activate your AZ MVD Now account are outlined below for both individual motor carrier customers and business motor carrier customers. Please review the appropriate instructions closely.

INDIVIDUAL MOTOR CARRIER CUSTOMERS

If you already  have an AZ MVD Now account, when the new Motor Carrier services are launched you will automatically be able to manage them from your AZ MVD Now account. NOTE: If you fall under both IRP and IFTA you will have only one combined AZ MVD Now account.

If you have not already activated your AZ MVD Now account, go to AZMVDNow.gov and click the Activate Your Account link and follow these prompts:

1. Create your login and password (Your email is your login. We recommend you use your personal email address and not a business email.)
2. Verify your identity
3. Select your communication preferences
4. Access your AZ MVD Now account

BUSINESS MOTOR CARRIER CUSTOMERS

In advance of the migration, you must activate your AZ MVD Now account. We strongly encourage you to do so as soon as possible by completing the AZ MVD Now Administrator Access Designation Form and submitting it to the Motor Carrier Unit at mvdmcs@azdot.gov. Your account will be set up for you and the MC Unit will email your login credentials to you in 1-2 weeks. NOTE: If you fall under both IRP and IFTA you only need to submit one form and will have only one AZ MVD Now account.

You should use a business email address and not your personal email.

Please do not wait until the last minute to activate your AZ MVD Now account

to ensure your ability to perform necessary IRP/IFTA transactions is not 

negatively impacted. If you have already submitted your form, you 

DO NOT need to submit another one.
