Lane restrictions on I-40 east of Kingman scheduled June 14-15 for pavement maintenance

Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 east of Kingman to plan for lane restrictions and brief travel delays that will be in place June 14 and June 15 while crews perform pavement maintenance on a 6-mile segment of the roadway.

The following restrictions will be in place beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, through noon, Thursday, June 15:

  • I-40 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, approximately between Blake Ranch Road and the US 93 traffic junction (mileposts 67-73).
  • A vehicle-width restriction of 12 feet.
  • Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.

The restrictions are necessary while crews perform pavement maintenance.
