The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions along Interstate 10 in Buckeye beginning Tuesday, May 30.
The following restrictions are scheduled weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between milepost 106 to Johnson Road (milepost 108) beginning Monday, June 5, and ending Friday, June 9.
- I-10 at the Johnson Road overpass (milepost 108) may be reduced to one lane with alternating east- and westbound travel through Friday, June 9.
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
Contractors are scheduled to diamond grind the road as part of the I-10 milepost 105 to SR 85 junction pavement preservation project.
Drivers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
