Plan for lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Buckeye May 30-June 9

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions along Interstate 10 in Buckeye beginning Tuesday, May 30.

The following restrictions are scheduled weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between milepost 106 to Johnson Road (milepost 108) beginning Monday, June 5, and ending Friday, June 9.
  • I-10 at the Johnson Road overpass (milepost 108) may be reduced to one lane with alternating east- and westbound travel through Friday, June 9.
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.

Contractors are scheduled to diamond grind the road as part of the I-10 milepost 105 to SR 85 junction pavement preservation project.

Drivers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
