Northbound I-17 between Union Hills Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road scheduled to be closed April 21-24

Nightly restrictions begin April 18.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following weekend closure along Interstate 17 in Phoenix for pavement resurfacing.

  • Northbound I-17 between Union Hills Drive and Pinnacle Peak Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, April 21, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 24. The following ramps will also be closed:
    • The northbound I-17 on-ramps at Greenway and Bell roads 
    • Both Loop 101 ramps to northbound I-17 

DETOUR: Motorists may consider exiting ahead of the closure and using 19th and 35th avenues to connect with I-17 beyond the closure. 

Nightly Lane Restrictions and Ramp Closures April 18-21 

Northbound I-17 will be narrowed to two lanes nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in the following locations:

  • Tuesday, April 18, between Peoria Avenue and Thunderbird Road
  • Wednesday, April 19, between Cactus and Greenway roads
  • Thursday, April 20, between Thunderbird Road and Union Hills Drive

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
