The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following ramp closures and lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tucson beginning Sunday, March 19, as work progresses on the I-10 Ajo Way to Milepost 272 pavement rehabilitation project:
-
Daytime work: The eastbound on- and off-ramps at exit 263 (Ajo Way/Kino Parkway) will be closed intermittently starting 8 p.m. Sunday, March 19, through 1 p.m. Monday, March 20, for repair work.
- East- and westbound I-10 will have intermittent lane restrictions between Kino Parkway and Valencia Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday, March 19, through Friday, March 24, for pavement work.
- The eastbound on- and off-ramps at exit 265 (Alvernon Way), and the westbound I-10 on-ramp at Valencia Road, will be closed intermittently from 8 p.m. Sunday, March 19, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 20, for pavement work.
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place and speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph while work is occurring.
Motorists should plan for delays, proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
