Plan for alternating lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah Feb. 6-9

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for the following restrictions along Interstate 10 in Tonopah from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Feb. 6:

  • I-10 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Wintersburg Road and milepost 100 beginning Monday, Feb. 6 and ending Wednesday, Feb. 8.
  • Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between 443rd Avenue and milepost 91 on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
  • I-10 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between 443rd Avenue and milepost 91 on Thursday, Feb. 9.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph. 
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. 

Contractors are scheduled to work on the shoulder of the road as part of the I-10, 443rd Avenue to Wintersburg Road pavement preservation project.  

Drivers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
