The Arizona Department of Transportation invites residents, businesses and other stakeholders to participate in a virtual public meeting to learn more about the design of a new traffic interchange at the junction of Interstate 40 and US 93 in west Kingman. The virtual meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25.
The I-40/US 93 West Kingman Traffic Interchange design will feature a free-flowing “system-to-system” connection between the two highways without drivers having to stop at the existing ramp intersection. This will reduce congestion and improve local access and travel between I-40 and US 93, while accommodating projected traffic volumes for at least the next 20 years. Construction on Phase 1 of the project is expected to begin in 2024 and finish in 2026.
