Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on US 93 north of Kingman that lane restrictions and brief travel delays will continue through Thursday, Jan. 26, while crews perform pavement maintenance on a 10-mile segment of the roadway.

The daytime work is underway from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays:

  • US 93 will be reduced to one lane in each direction approximately between Black Joe Mine Road and Temple Bar Road (mileposts 7-17).
  • A vehicle-width restriction of 14 feet will be in effect.
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
  • Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
