UPDATE: Southbound State Route 143 ramp to westbound Interstate 10 closed overnight Saturday, Jan. 7 | Prepare to detour

Please note: Schedules can quickly change because of weather and other unforeseen situations. For the most up-to-date information we encourage you to download the Interstate 10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project’s free mobile app, TheCurve or visit the Alerts section of the project website before you travel.

Motorists should expect some delays and plan for an updated detour as work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project continues. Please use the following detour when the southbound State Route 143 ramp to westbound Interstate 10 is closed overnight Saturday, Jan. 7:

  • The southbound SR 143 ramp to westbound I-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, to 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, for paving work. Drivers can use  southbound SR 143/48th Street to Broadway Road and travel west on Broadway Road to northbound 40th Street to access westbound I-10 (see map below).

Reminder:

  • East- and westbound I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes at 48th Street from 3 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, for bridge work. Please slow down and merge safely into the open travel lanes.
  • The westbound US 60 HOV ramp to westbound I-10 will be closed from 3 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, for bridge work.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and equipment in all work zones.
