Interstate 10 lane restrictions planned in Buckeye this weekend

As work continues on the Interstate 10 Improvement Project between State Route 85 and Verrado Way in Buckeye, the Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions:

  • East- and westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between Watson Road and Verrado Way from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24.

As a reminder, the westbound I-10 on- and off-ramps at Watson Road are closed for reconstruction through late November.

  • Detour from westbound I-10 to Watson Road:
    • Westbound I-10 drivers can exit at Miller Road, cross under the freeway and enter eastbound I-10 to reach the Watson Road exit.
  • Detour from Watson Road to westbound I-10:
    • Drivers on Watson Road can enter eastbound I-10, exit at Verrado Way, cross over the freeway and enter the westbound I-10 on-ramp.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
