Update subscriber preferences to see email alerts sooner, sign up for text alerts

Did you know you can customize how quickly you receive email alerts from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) - and have text alerts delivered to your phone?

Sign up for text alerts

ADOT is testing a new text notification feature for several highway corridors throughout the state as part of a pilot program. Please note that text alerts will be available only for certain ADOT projects and corridors during the testing period.

If you would like to receive text messages from ADOT with traffic alerts for any of these corridors, please update your subscriber preferences HERE.

  1. Under Subscription Type, select SMS/Text Message.
  2. Enter your wireless number (no dashes) and click Submit.
  3. A new page will appear with a list of corridors enabled for text messages.
  4. Select the corridors to receive text messages and click Submit.

Update your email settings to receive alerts immediately

If you’ve subscribed to receive information about ADOT projects by email, but are receiving them only once a day or once a week, you may want to update your email subscriber preferences. It’s a quick, easy way to ensure you receive email alerts immediately. Here’s what to do:

Scroll down to the bottom of the email alert and click on SUBSCRIBER SERVICES in the bottom left corner. Then:

  1. Click on Manage Preferences.
  2. You will see a screen that says Email Updates. Enter your email address where indicated and click on Submit.
  3. You will see a screen that says Subscriber Preferences. Click on the middle tab that says Preferences.
  4. Scroll down to Email Delivery Preferences. Select the top option that says “Send each update immediately by email” (see below). Tip: Be sure to select submit to save the changes you’ve made so you can begin receiving alerts right away.
