The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures on Loop 303 from Van Buren Street to Happy Valley Parkway for pavement maintenance.

  • Northbound Loop 303 will be closed between Van Buren Street and Happy Valley Parkway from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24
    • The east- and westbound I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 303 will be closed.
    • DETOUR: Drivers can use northbound Loop 101, Sarival Avenue or Cotton Lane for northbound travel. Note: There will be local restrictions on Sarival Avenue and Cotton Lane between Peoria Avenue and Waddell Road. Traffic in this area will be detoured to Reems Road to avoid the local restrictions.
    • Crews plan to reopen northbound Loop 303 in sections as their pavement sealant work progresses on Saturday.
  • Southbound Loop 303 will be closed between Happy Valley Parkway and I-10 from 10 p.m Saturday, Sept. 24, to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25
    • The southbound Loop 303 on-ramp at Jomax Road will also be closed.
    • DETOUR: Drivers can use eastbound Happy Valley Parkway, southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway and 83rd Avenue before using eastbound Union Hills Drive to southbound Loop 101 to reach I-10.
    • Crews plan to reopen southbound Loop 303 in sections as their pavement sealant work progresses on Sunday.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and

equipment while work is underway.
