The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures on Loop 202 (Santan/South Mountain Freeway) in Phoenix/Chandler for pavement maintenance.
- Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan/South Mountain Freeway) will be closed between 40th and 56th streets from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
- The eastbound Loop 202 ramps to east- and westbound I-10 will be closed.
- The eastbound I-10 ramp to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed.

DETOUR: Eastbound Loop 202 drivers can use northbound 40th Street and eastbound Chandler Boulevard to access I-10. Drivers also can continue east on Chandler Boulevard to southbound Kyrene Road to reach eastbound Loop 202.
- Westbound Loop 202 (Santan/South Mountain Freeway) will be closed between 56th and 40th streets from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.
- The westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Kyrene Road will be closed.
- The east- and westbound I-10 ramps to westbound Loop 202 will be closed.
- The westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at 40th Street will be closed.

DETOUR: Westbound Loop 202 drivers can use northbound Kyrene Road and westbound Chandler Boulevard to access I-10. Drivers also can continue west on Chandler Boulevard to southbound 40th Street to reach westbound Loop 202. Drivers may also use southbound 56th Street to Sundust Road to access eastbound I-10 (toward Tucson).
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around maintenance personnel and
equipment while work is underway.
