The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for intermittent lane restrictions on US 60 beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6, to Thursday, Sept. 15.
Drivers should allow for extra travel time while the following daytime restrictions are in place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
- US 60 will be narrowed intermittently to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel just west of the junction with State Route 61 from mileposts 354 - 360.
- Flaggers and a pilot car will guide drivers through the work zone.
- The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
- 16-foot vehicle width restriction.
- No work will be scheduled on the weekends.
- The restrictions will be lifted each day after work hours.
The restrictions are needed so crews can safely complete pavement repairs along this stretch of US 60 that will help extend the life of the roadway.
