The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for an overnight closure of Interstate 40 at Anvil Rock Road as work continues on the Anvil Rock Road Bridge rehabilitation project.
The closure of I-40, approximately 11 miles west of Seligman, will occur from 2 - 6 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
- Motorists will use the Anvil Rock Road off- and on-ramps to exit and re-enter the interstate.
- Law enforcement officers and flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
- The speed limit will be reduced.
The $2.7 million project includes the removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck, which is the top surface of the bridge that motorists drive on, as well as the approach slabs, guardrail and pavement markings.
