Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) overnight lane and ramp restrictions planned between Center Parkway, McClintock Drive July 7

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for the following overnight restrictions on eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) from 9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, to 4 a.m. Friday, July 8, while pavement maintenance is taking place: 

  • Portions of eastbound Loop 202 will be reduced to two or three lanes (plus HOV lane) between Center Parkway and McClintock Drive. 
  • The eastbound Loop 202 auxiliary lane will be closed between Center Parkway and McClintock Drive.
  • The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Van Buren Street, Priest Drive, Center Parkway and Scottsdale Road will be closed.
  • The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramps at Scottsdale Road and McClintock Drive will be closed
  • Detour: Drivers can use McDowell Road or Rio Salado Parkway as alternatives for eastbound travel. 

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the pavement maintenance work is underway.
