I-10 interchange restrictions at Watson and Miller roads scheduled to begin Sunday, June 19

As work continues on the Interstate 10 Improvement Project between State Route 85 and Verrado Way in Buckeye, the Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions:

  • The eastbound I-10 on-ramp and the westbound I-10 off-ramp at Watson Road will be restricted with flagging operations from 9 p.m. Sunday, June 19 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 20.  In addition, northbound Watson Road will be reduced to one lane between Sundance Parkway and the I-10 interchange during this time. 
  • Miller Road will continue to be reduced to one lane with flagging operations underneath the I-10 bridge nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, June 19 through the morning of Thursday, June 24. 

Upcoming restrictions

  • Northbound Watson Road will be restricted to one lane between Sundance Parkway and the I-10 interchange from 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 to 5 a.m. Thursday, June 23; and again from 9 p.m. Friday, June 24 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 27.
  • The eastbound I-10 on-ramp and the westbound I-10 off-ramp at Watson Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 24 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 27. Detours: 
    • Drivers on Watson Road who want access eastbound I-10 can use eastbound Yuma Road to northbound  Verrado Way
    • Westbound I-10 drivers who want to reach Watson Road can exit at Verrado Way and travel south to Yuma Road and then west to Watson Road.
