The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 through Kingman to plan for intermittent lane restrictions and brief travel delays while crews perform pavement maintenance on the roadway.
Motorists should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following overnight restrictions are in place daily from 7 p.m., Sunday, May 15, through 6 a.m., Saturday, May 21:
- East- and westbound I-40 will be reduced to one lane in each direction along a 6-mile section of I-40 from Andy Devine Avenue (exit 53) to west of the Kingman city limits (mileposts 46 - 52).
Since 2016, ADOT has replaced pavement on about 90 miles of I-40 and repaired, upgraded or replaced 35 bridges along I-40. ADOT is in the process of planning a new traffic interchange between I-40 and US 93 in west Kingman as well as more I-40 pavement projects west of Kingman and Ash Fork.
